Ulla Wimmer is lecturer at the Berlin School of Library and Information Science, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. She holds a masters' degree in cultural studies and business administration and a PhD from IBI. After graduating as a librarian for public libraries, she worked at the German

Libraries Institute, Public Library of Berlin-Neukölln and the German Library Association before joining IBI in 2012. She has practical and research experience in the area of library evaluation and metrics, e.g. as manager of BIX-Bibliotheksindex, as advisor to the German Library Statistics, as chair of the IFLA Section of Statistics and Evaluation and as member of numerous expert- and working groups.
